Accessibility

DLG Legal Services has built this site to be accessible and usable to as many people as possible. This website is designed and built with consideration of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) set by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) as part of their Web Accessibility Initiative.

Our aim is for the site to be designed to WCAG standards. Accordingly this website aims to facilitate equal access to people with disabilities using technologies other than standard web browsers, such as screen readers.

Here are some straightforward website accessibility guides that can enable you to:

Browser compatibility

Our sites fully utilise CSS (cascading style sheets) to separate content from presentation, reducing file sizes and increasing download speeds. Most images have been regulated to the CSS document and where possible text alternatives for graphical content have been provided.

The site is accessible to users whose browsers do not support JavaScript. It is also designed and tested for the latest and most popular browsers to minimise compatibility issues for users.

Navigational aids

All pages of the site are navigable with the keyboard, mouse, and other assistive devices such as BrowseAloud.
